Prognostic performance evaluation has gained significant attention in the past few years.*Currently, prognostics concepts lack standard definitions and suffer from ambiguous inconsistent interpretations. This of standards is part due to varied end-user requirements for different applications, time scales, available information, domain dynamics, etc. name a few. The research community used variety metrics largely based on convenience their respective requirements. Very little been focused establishing standardized approach compare efforts. paper presents several new tailored that were recently introduced shown effectively evaluate various algorithms as compared other conventional metrics. Specifically, this detailed discussion how these should be interpreted used. These have capability incorporating probabilistic uncertainty estimates prognostic algorithms. In addition quantitative assessment they also offer comprehensive visual perspective can designing system. Several methods are suggested customize applications. Guidelines provided help choose one method over another distribution characteristics. Various issues faced by its discussed followed formal notational framework standardize subsequent developments.
